Hugh Jackman's just been on Parky, promoting X-Men 2. He walked in flicking back long, glossy hair, sat down and proceeded to camp it up, which was quite a sight - this 6 feet 4 inches tall bloke swishing his hair back over his shoulders. *g*

Turns out it's mostly hair extensions, which he's had done for his new movie, which is a pirate flick. Hugh as a pirate...be still my beating heart!

Parkinson got him singing a capella, and beautifully too. He sang 'Oh What a Beautiful Morning' from 'Oklahoma', but only on condition that the audience joined in the chorus. So they did. It was a great TV moment.

And... after he's finished filming the next thing that Hugh's going to do is another musical, in the West End. Hmm, I think a theatre trip may be in order.

Next guest was Matthew Perry, who was also delightful and was promoting a David Mamet play in which he is to appear. Hmm, Matthew Perry (who has always been my favourite Friend) and a David Mamet play... Wonder what ticket availability is like?

M, you canNOT I repeat, CANNOT, paint me visuals like that of Hugh Jackman. Now I'm all agitated ... but in a nice way. ;)

And for a nonBrit, what or who is Parky? A talk show of some sort, I'm assuming. Probably not one I'm lucky enough to get on BBCAmerica though. :(

Never mind on who Parky is. I just did some digging. I do get him on BBCAmerica. But I wouldn't be surprised if we're getting shows a few weeks (or months) behind yours. I've never watched him. Watch Graham Norton when I remember.

If you can catch Hugh's performance when it's on BBC America it's well worth seeing. He came across very well, said that so far as his father (who is British) is concerned appearing on Parkinson is it, then laughed as he said that his father would be bemoaning the fact that he was appearing on Parkinson looking like a bloody hippie (because of the hair).

I'm afraid I can't help with how far behind BBC America is compared to in the UK, maybe a search on their website will help? Parkinson is an Institution here in the UK (hence Hugh's father's probably reaction to his son being on the programme). It's the chat show and the one that usually gets the biggest stars. Of course, Graham Norton is very popular, too, but isn't really what I'd call a 'chat show'. *g*

Oh yeah. Think that one's a must-see. I can't remember the name of the musical in question, but I suspect that there'll be lots of advance publicity - we'll have to keep our eyes peeled.
