I hate, hate, hate sheer stupidity amongst people who are meant to be intelligent.

I suspect that's not the reaction TPTB were hoping to elicit, but I was sadly unmoved by tonight's dramatic happenings. Because the stupidity. It burns...

is it any good?

Everyone's stupidity of Jo and Fiona's? 'cause OMG.

Me and Sam loved it. But then, we are Zaf/Adam 'shippers and um, yes.

Usually, yes, it's very good. Even tonight's episode had some excellent parts if you ignore the fact that one character was so incredibly stupid (and she's normally so intelligent, too).

I don't see that Jo was stupid -- she's inexperienced and was being guided by the more experienced operative. Plus, she assumed that Fiona had *told* Adam what was going on.

As for Fiona, I could (just about) buy why she didn't tell Adam what was going on, but why the *hell* didn't she tell Harry? He can certainly keep a secret and could have worked with her in keeping Adam out of the loop and away from danger.

I like Fiona but don't have a problem with what happened to her -- dramatic development and all that. What I do have a problem with is the *way* it happened. She's an intelligent woman but she certainly didn't act like it. Yes, she was scared, but even so... Sigh.

I see what you mean about Jo, though we were shouting at the TV for her to call and let them know what was happening.

We couldn't believe Fiona either. There was a moment when I wasn't sure if 5 knew about the stuff in Syria, but it soon became obvious everyone knew. Which makes it even more insane that she kept it from Adam, or, failing Adam who is about as crazy when it comes to the whole thing as Fiona, then yes, at least Harry.

Also, that whole thing at the end with the glass? Could. Not. Believe it. WTF? Though yay for getting him lol

Actually, the bit at the end with the glass was the bit I found...well if not plausible at least dramatically engaging, and rather clever. Worthy of Fiona. Pity about the rest of the episode.

I could see why see was doing it and the moment she looked at the frame I was all 'oh she won't' and then of course, she did. I think I'm a little too involded 'cause of the whole Zaf/Adam thing.

People are complaining that Jo got thrown in at the deep end a little quickly and also, people have been complaning that it's a little out of control and unrealistic this season. I dunno. I've never paid this much attention before.

Must say one had to wonder why he'd ever married her in the first place. But it frees me to fantasise about him and Zaf . . .But they do seem good at losing the lead players - think if this is 'true to life' questions should be asked about competence!!

Yes - somebody described it as dark deadpan hokum. Well, it is - all Bond style gadgetry and glossy spies but then it confronts 'real' issues, like shoot to kill policies on terrorists, and doesn't give saccharine answers. So watch it! But don't take it at face value because they'd be mortified if you did!

Thought I was alone in the world/country . . .is there any fic out there? Point me to it AT ONCE! (Complete with expensive transport, tracking device and guns galore).

Well, the season must be over longer than a season, cos that child is talking already - so maybe Jo had lots of training. It's not as dark as some of the earlier seasons but it's a bit disjointd.

As far as I can tell, it's pretty much about four of us at this point who like the Zaf/Adam and I'm about the only one who's posted any fic, which is on my journal but nothing to write home about lol but there is the comm [livejournal.com profile] spooky_doings have you seen it? It's, kinda obviously, a Spooks comm for everything you can think of really.

Check my lj ([livejournal.com profile] moth1 and friend me because it's locked to my fanfic flist. It's also in my memories - (first spook fic), so you don't have to read it today. All comments gratefully received - it was written in an incredible hurry!
