And yes, Jack was absolutely right when he said that being a prior really didn't suit Daniel.

Oooh, nice Daniel/Teal'c interaction as well. And Vala sitting on Daniel's knee cracked me up.

Lovely warm fuzzy feeling in how all of SG1, and Jack trusted priorified Daniel. Even after Daniel kidnapped Jack. Oh joy!

SG1 is really on a role right now - all of the new episodes that have premiered on Sky recently have made me very happy.

Here's the link to my DA recs on del.icio.us. There are more stories that I read and enjoyed but never got around to putting up there when I was first glutting in the fandom, and I'm going to have to update it. When I remember :)

You said that you thought all the goodish authors were on LJ, so you probably already know about alethialia and madkavanaugh. I'm not sure that I buy in entirely to alethialia's vision of Alec - she's far too fond of Alec the alpha, can do little wrong trope that we talked about - but she's still a good writer and the het is hot. However, because of that I tend to prefer the fics outside of her main ASHverse (that being her main M/A verse), particularly Test of Wills. I did like the first ASH story though - Alec was less perfect in it :)

On LJ in terms of communities, there's jam_pony_fic and there's also transgenesis, which is Max/Alec. There's another comm for fic - darkangelfic - but I haven't joined because the rules of the comm aren't to my taste. A lot of stuff is crossposted to jam_pony_fic anyway, and I like the atmosphere on that comm better. I just do drive by reading of darkangelfic every now and then in case I've missed anything.

In terms of fic on the web, most of it seems to be on nunswithpens and/or gumbootmafia. Both are a bit of a mare to navigate - although Gumbootmafia is a little better organised - because of the bulletin board format (it takes at least three clicks to get to the fic for example) and you have to register, but as I said yesterday, once you've registered (just by signing up for a username and password), you can access the stories and you can stay logged in even when your browser is closed.

I've also got a lot of Max/Alec songvids memoried over on YouTube, if that's your kind of thing. I tend to weed out and favourite just the ones I like but some are really good and others just made me smile, so not all are the best of the best, if that makes sense.
