Supernatural Season 4 complete box set Region 2

Has anyone managed to receive a complete set as advertised on the packaging of this, complete with all the special features?

The version I recently received from Amazon UK doesn't have the special features and the discs inside are labelled wrongly. It appears that the manufacturer has inserted the discs from the Season 4 box sets Parts 1 and 2, which were sold separately earlier, and which don't have the special features. Amazon have now stopped selling the complete box set as a result of this problem and I'm trying to ascertain whether it's universal or whether Warner Home Video have managed to screw up some batches and not others.

I'm going to return my set to Amazon and after a certain amount of whining on my part they even gave me a £5 credit on my next purchase. At the time I thought it was their fault but now see that customers who bought from Play have had the same problem as well. So, I am feeling a tad guilty on Amazon's behalf...

However, I'm feeling even more annoyed at Warner Home Video's failure. I don't want to have to purchase the Region 1 version from Amazon.com or Amazon.ca as I'll end up paying massive postal charges, plus may get stung by Customs for import duty as well. So, I'm trying to find out if anyone has got the correct Region 2 version.

Really not happy - talk about false advertising by Warner and it may end up hurting SPN Season 4 DVD sales as well as a result of Warner's screw-up.

I haven't been paying much attention to what was advertised and all that, but now you made me check and mine doesn't have the special features either.

I need to return it as well, then... (and I'm so bloody broke I can't afford the region 1 version *deep sigh*)

Hopefully Warner will get their act together and actually produce the product as described, with all of the special features.

Where did you get your copy from? Amazon UK?

They should do - they did for mine. I rang them up in order to whine, which is why I received the £5 gift voucher. You might want to do the same - just don't mention that it's the manufacturer's fault. The number is shown on screen by clicking on the 'contact us' link in your own area. It took a bit of digging to find but I got there by looking at the refunds section.

The employee I spoke to also said that a lot of people have complained and want to return the item so I don't think you should have any problems.

My money has already been refunded as I received an email telling me this, but I still haven't received a message telling me how to return the goods, which I was told would happen. I was told that it would be free post, though.

I was thinking of using the 'return an item' link through the amazon website, which gives you the label etc to print, so you can send it postage-free. do you think I should call, then?

it's what I'll do Monday morning, in any case - I have no printer to print the label, and there's something wrong with the phone so I can;t call them (and I can't afford to call them though the mobile before I get paid *sigh*)

From my quick look at the 'return an item' link it seemed to be geared to items which are returned unopened, which obviously isn't the case here, and for items that are unwanted as opposed to defective. That's why I rang, because I didn't think I could simply return it without explaining why.

I think you need to make plain that it's defective and that's why you're returning it. You can probably do so by email, though, which you might want to do rather than phoning.
