I'm watching the post-match commentary for the Germany/Italy World Cup semi-final and it's just a bit weird to see the crowd (the German part, anyway) singing along to Walk On (can't remember the real title, but it's the Liverpool song about not walking alone) in English.
And kudos to the German fans, for being incredibly classy in defeat.
So, Italy, huh. Well, I'm happy. After England got knocked out by Portugal (and, oh, the frustration of watching England flub it yet again -- they could, and should, have won) there was much discussion at the barbecue I was attending on Saturday about who to support out of the remaining France, Germany, Portugal and Italy teams. And, yep, the consensus was Italy. There's no real baggage, you see. And those Italians are very stylish.
Mandragora = shallow.
